Roots Birth & Women’s Health
Jackie McMahon
Jackie McMahon
Jackie is a midwife with a diverse and holistic background, dedicated to helping people make informed, empowered decisions about their health. Before transitioning to midwifery, Jackie worked as a doula, teacher, and yoga instructor—experiences that shaped her compassionate approach to caring for the mind, body, and spirit. More recently, her roles in emergency and forensic nursing have provided opportunity to strengthen midwifery skills while supporting individuals in challenging moments.
Originally from Maryland, Jackie studied psychology, Chinese, and nursing before earning her midwifery degree from the University of New Mexico. She has lived and worked across the U.S. and internationally, gaining insight into a wide range of practices and cultural perspectives on life, health, and birth.
New to Montana, Jackie is excited to explore the state’s natural beauty. When she’s not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors in the sun, the snow or out on the water. She also enjoys making art, learning new languages, and spending time with her orange cat, Buck. Jackie is excited to join the local community as a midwife, offering families guidance and respect through their unique journeys in pregnancy, birth and beyond.
